Located in northwestern Pennsylvania, Meadville is situated 84 mi (135 km) north of Pittsburgh and 34 mi (54 km) south of Erie. Meadville has many attractions to entertain and draw visitors to the town including the Thurston Classic Hot Air Balloon Event, which is an annual event held on Father’s Day weekend, highlighting balloons from around the world.
